Mud cloth (Bogolanfini) gets it name because it is died using natural materials, including fermented mud, sticks, leaves, herbs and grasses. Made from Malian cotton, typically the men weave the long narrow strips on a small back strap loom, which are them sewn together to make the larger cloth.
