Beautiful vintage handwoven ikat made with all natural dyes from the Sumba people of Sumatra. This textile uses a single loom to create panels and then 2 panels are stitched together with an almost invisible seam to create the finished piece. Each textile features bold graphics that would have been representative of the wearers life accomplishments and social status.
