Tcherot pendants are talismans worn by the Tuareg people of northern Africa. "Tcherot" in the Tuareg language literally translates as "paper" or "message" , these objects often enclosed slips of paper with different writings, from verses of the Quran, to symbols or letters. Letter-like symbols stamped onto the back of the box are the maker’s mark.
