Bronze 香爐, censer, with brass lid. Motif of phoenix or crane on the lid and intricate geometric patterning on the body with paulownia crest. The box is labeled 色絵唐草文, colored artwork arabesque/scrollwork. Stamp bearing a Chinese Reign mark from the Xuande Period 大明宣徳, an homage to the height of Chinese bronze.
