This vintage, hand-sewn tanzen (or dotera) is a thickly padded long-sleeved over-kimono with a cotton liner and base with printed overlay. Tanzen are primarily worn for lounging or as an outer garment in winter. It's a casual piece, often worn over a yukata and fastened with an obi.
These kimono are becoming increasingly rare due to decrease in makers.
