This vintage, hand-sewn girl's day kimono is a remarkable display of a pattern mixing. The base color is a light pink with a subtle shibori print accompanied by swatches of orange, blue, and purple. Adorned with floral motifs, paper cranes, fans and temari and waves.
Girl's Day or "Hinamatsuri" is an annual festival that takes place across Japan on March 3rd. It is also known as “Girl’s Day” or “Doll Festival” in English. Celebrants of this festival pray for the health, prosperity and happiness of young girls.
