On the day that Carla Bartow was born, it snowed two feet in the Catskill Mountains.  Carla learned to paint at her grandmother's kitchen table in those mountains, and hasn't stopped since.  Carla lives and works in the magical city of Portland, OR.  Clients of note include Righteous Babe Records, The Fillmore West, Nutcase Helmets, Day Wines, and Walnut Studiolo.

I design, handcut and create wool felt flowers arrangements and houseplants in my studio in SE Portland. I am a graduate of OCAC, majoring in ceramics. Sculpting flowers and arrangements in felt has been a fun transition for me because the low tech, immediacy of the process. I start each arrangement selecting a color palate and the arrangement goes from there. Each is unique and custom. At this show at cargo, I will be offering flower arrangements in vases, bouquets wrapped in paper cones, felt houseplants, and framed ‘Wallflowers’.
